How to Do Self Spiral Meditation

How to Do Self Spiral Meditation

The Spiral Meditation is a technique in which all of the major chakras are connected in a single spiral pattern. This exercise described by Dr. Brugh Joy is used to increase spiritual awareness and may be used on the self or client. To learn the Self Spiral Meditation, read the steps below.

1

Sit comfortably with your feet on the floor and begin to center your attention on your heart. Imagine a ball of light radiating from your heart up to your throat. Divide the light into two balls sending one to each shoulder and down the arms to your palms. Imagine that both palms are holding a ball of light.

2

Place your right hand on the heart. Imagine that you are transferring light from your hand into the heart. Hold this position for 30 seconds to one minute, then switch your focus from sending to receiving the light into the heart center.

3

Move your right hand in a clockwise motion, tracing a spiral pattern on the body beginning with the heart. Send light from your palm into your solar plexus (between belly button and heart) then switch to receiving the light.

4

Continue to move through the body in a spiral motion stopping at the following points to send and receive healing light: high heart (between throat and heart), spleen (under left side of ribs), abdomen (sacral center between belly button and groin), throat, root (area below groin), brow (forehead), knees, crown (top of head), ankles and transverse point (area six to eight inches above the head).

5

Conclude the Spiral Meditation by placing your hands in your lap and sitting peacefully until the process feels completed.

Tips & Warnings

When focusing on the knees and ankles, activate both palms and place your hands (one to each) on your knees and ankles.

Point your palm at the ceiling when activating the transverse point.
